Licensing policy published
The Council's licensing policy details how applications for licences in matters such as sales of alcohol, regulated entertainment and late-night refreshment are processed. This policy replaced the one that was released in January 2005. It follows extensive consultation during 2007 with both residents and businesses within the Borough.
The licensing policy is used by members of the Licensing and Safety Committee to assist them in making decisions on applications for new premises, variations to or reviews of existing licences, and should be used by applicants in the preparation of their application.
The new policy came into effect on 7 January 2008 and will remain in force until 6 January 2011.
